To help your score. It's pretty good once it kicks in, but I think it takes too long to get there. I don't mind a wait, but then afterwards, the volume could definitely afford to explode. The guitar sounds great, and i love the section at 1:13--thats my favorite part, but you definitely should crank that up a bit higher so the background rhythm doesn't overpower it. It's nice work though my friend.

Twistedtechnology responds:

not sure what you are listening to this through (maybe head phones?) but i really tried to crank that guitar higher, but it just wasnt having it. This piece is designed for an awards show (and to be played over some big speakers) . The 30 second intro is gonna be what plays as everyone sits down, and then vwaboosh. the rock stuff is played as a compilation video is played. I appreciate the vote and review though!!! Im glad you did enjoy it!!!

Holy shit

Who knew a holiday song could be so dirty?? Even with the title, the drop took me by surprise. Amazing stuff all around, and I really like the bell sound effects you opened with. Dead on.
Nothing to possibly criticize. And the 1:45 segment is crazy. Brings almost a homage to the actual track.

Breed responds:

Thank you sir, these reviews are totally inspiring!

Cheers!

Awesome

I love the background harmonies you made, especially around :23; that segment is my favorite part of the song. And it loops so freakin' well.
As for criticism (and this would be just nit-picking at this point) I feel like the snare hits at :36 lag behind a bit, so it feels out of place for me. Like the really quick ones. And then they get fixed after that point. Overall, great work!

EmperorCharlemagne responds:

Sometimes the program has a way of not handling well the more clustered-together notes, which can cause lag. I try to work my way around it, but that ain't always the case.

Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you liked!

Epic

I dont know if the request in your description was the this or not, but there's a thread in the audio forum specifically calling for remixes of Carol of the Bells, and this is one of the better ones I've heard. So if it's not there already you should check it out.
Great work. I especially like the background melodies you added to some parts.

Cam3leon responds:

Thanks man. Yeah this one was requested, but NG said that the name was already taken. I'ma check that mix f'sure, but really honored you feel that way about my mix :)

Hit up my inbox if you have requests too :)

Well

I like it. You got 0-bombed for no reason. I would have voted it a 4 honestly, but seeing how low it was, I gave you the 5 to help anyway. I think my main criticisms would be as far as the mixing is concerned, the sub-noises like the bass are too overpowering, so definitely crank up the volume of the violin sounding instruments in the background so it isn't so muffled. I would also soften your piano a bit because it sounds very rough.
As far as it being related to "Carol of the Bells," It's missing the traditional parts that anyone might expect to hear from it, so it's not recognizable. But that doesn't really matter because it's your interpretation. So judging it as a piece on it's own, I don't think it's bad at all. Nice work.

Hey ShatterTheSky22,

Wow what a gr8 review! Yeah I often overpower the bass, and thx about those mixing tips too. I just used the chords from "Carol of the Bells" and tried to make something new out of it, so I guess it isn't traditional. I'll try to make a new one that sounds a lot more like the original, but still with flair :3

Insane

It's frenetic, it changes throughout and keeps evolving, and it sounds great all around.
Easily the best dance song I've heard in awhile. Though it's kind of heavy in its own way--It leans close on the industrial side.

Big Thanks Mahn :3

Catchy

It's one of those songs I could just let repeat forever and not care. Haha
It reminds me of something that could be in Poke'mon game because it's light-hearted and even the instrument seems fitting. I think it's really cool.

Damn

Your songs definitely got bombed. -__- Hope the vote helped.
I think the songs amazing actually. And from your other song, you've definitely come a long way (no offense of course). I like the oriental vibe some parts give and I think the way you made the part starting at :42 is my favorite. Excellent work.

Thanks man, im really glad you enjoyed it. means a lot as a guy just starting to make music :) and i actually made this right after my previous one

Wow

It's really, really great. I write alot of piano stuff myself so believe me when I say this is good stuff. I would have loved to hear a deep, low chord or two thrown in there (maybe in the longer version, which I hope you pursue) and the sudden quick segments are spectacular. Sometimes it sounds a bit weird when you jump tempo like that from a slower one, but you execute it pretty flawlessly here.

WizMystery responds:

I'm leaning towards a lower part in there somewhere, right now the left hand is up there in the treble clef a lot so it's time for the bass to get some input.

Thanks for the really, really fast review!

Great take on it.

When I first read that challenge, I knew it was going to get some awesome results.
You got the beats down exactly right, and it sounds really cool in this trance style.

Hmm. Thanks! Glad you said so. :)
