WOW

Quite easily the greatest song I've ever heard.
I appreciate the (not so) subtle humor you've added all over this. xD
Finally, music that people mid-seizure can enjoy.

glad you enjoyed it,
i spent nearly 1234567890 hours on it, or something.
well close enough.

I'm not gonna lie,

it didn't really hold my attention at first. But it definitely picks up. The 4:00 mark complimentary piano w/ guitar is REALLY cool and makes me want to try something like that.

I think if you added a few more ambient instruments in there, maybe just doing like 1 or 2 chords, it might give it a little extra flavor. And for the extended piano solo, loved it, but it needed a bottom sound for sure.

I'm glad you liked the piano-guitar duo :D, it's something I thought about since the beginning of the song. As for the instruments I could have added, you're probably right, the composition would have been more solid, but I really wanted to use these two classic only - guitar and piano - other instruments as few as possible. Anyway, the idea with the high strings came later and without it, the song would have certainly sounded poorer.

Thanks for reviewing! ;)

Amazing

The horn gives it a bit of a jazz feel also, I love everything it does, especially when it's playing solo. Great effect.

thank's man

Really

top quality stuff. Not that it even needs to be said since it's obvious.

Demeanor-Ice-Creamer responds:

Thanks for your kind words, friend.

The rhythm

I just wasnt feeling it. I think the reason it didn't come across so well to me was that your two guitar instruments clashed with each other for me. I hated the sound of them together. When one dropped out and left the other alone, it sounded really good! I just dont like the "chorus" segments I suppose.
I would switch out the rhythm guitar for something deeper in the lower range of sound, and less shrill.

ChoccyMilk responds:

Thanks. Im trying to work on that part you dont like. iv come up with about 4329049054 ideas but they all sound bad. im gonna keep trying. thanks for the comment

I voted

5 because I only had one small critique about this one.
I love your melodies and compositional choices. I just really dislike bass drum hits. I think a softer bass drum hit or even better a lower pitched bass hit would have been more effective in my opinion. Sounds a bit woodpecker-ish to me. lol
But overall very good!

z-bentinel responds:

Hey thanks for the review.

Yeah I spent ages trying to sort out the damn bass drum but I just couldnt get it perfect and in the end I just got it as close as I could to not sounding horrible and left it.. I could have changed each bass hit but I was being lazy I admit.

Thanks again for the review anyway =D

This is

absolutely beautiful.
One of the best piano compositions I've heard on newgrounds.

Short, yet powerful.
I hope to compose something like this someday.

Aviuscantor responds:

Thank you Shatter, it is greatly appreciated.
This was more just me slamming on the piano to get some emotion out than a full piece, though I might expand on it in the future. Thank you for you time! :D

I liked it

Very much so. high quality, nice progression. Had to lower my speakers a bit because i didnt expect it to be so loud. Keep working on it, its going well. I'd say maybe throw in another instrument at the cutoff you have now to keep it fresh, and alternate them?

Rukkus responds:

Thanks for the great review. I'll take you words into consideration when i make my next House beat because im not gonna finish this one lol. This was just an experiment, but i hope to learn more about making House beats along the way.

Spot On

And everything in your description is accurate. Excellent piece. I'd like to hear it again if you do decide to add anything.

Pezmobile responds:

Thanks, i'll PM u when i do, if i can remember...
=D

Nice use

of repetition. Sometimes, that can be the downfall of a good piece, but you had more than enough going on around it to support it without it ever getting boring. Very nice job.

Kuma-AKA responds:

Thanks Man! By the way, cool username.
